Are you too busy to do your press-printed items? Simply send your photos and specs to Kimberly and she will set up your cards for a small fee.
In most cases, set-up of photos, colors and text would be $50. There is an additional fee for manipulating templates (ie: adding or subtracting images). Email proof will be sent to you for approval. Once it is approved, delivery will take about a week. No need to buy the template. Kimberly will have the cards printed and drop-shipped to you, right from the lab. Shipping is an additional $12.00. Please note that all monitors and printers are different, colors cannot be guaranteed.

I'll soon have a new template collection at Miller's Professional Imaging. I've been working away at a floral themed group, geared towards wedding photographers, but as you can see by the little slideshow to the right, will work fabulously for kids too! I'd better finish soon, because my computer drive keeps telling me "no more room!"

Here's a little preview: The first is for a playing card favor. Miller's prints full decks of playing cards and we thought it would be fun to do them as favors at the wedding.

Will you be at WPPI 2009 next week??? I will! Hopefully I will be able to meet some of you in person. I'll be sure to stop by at the WHCC booth to meet Kristina, and the Miller's booth to meet Julie. I'll be shamelessly promoting Limberdog at the trade show, in between attending seminars by Gene Higa and Tanja Lippert. These templates are unflattened Adobe Photoshop® Files (PSD). They will work with Photoshop CS and higher.

Click below to purchase Photoshop or other products from Adobe.

I am changing the purchasing process to include downloadable templates. In the meantime, if you would like to purchase a template from Limberdog, email Kimberly and I will send you an invoice through Paypal. Templates will be emailed to you after purchase. These are in a Zip format, so you will need a file expander like Stuffit to unzip the files. Always save a back up of your master templates! You only get one download per purchase. Due to the nature of the template, there are no returns.

Our templates are designed with an 1/8 inch bleed area. Please check with your lab as to their trim specifics for press-printed products. If you print your own, don’t forget to trim off this area. Do not place anything important in the bleed area. See our Tutorials for help with lab templates.

Most labs support our card size and layout. Please check with your lab to make sure they print the layout you want! For example, Miller's does not print the 5x7 wide format card. You would have to use someone like WHCC or Bay.

As you know, all monitors show differently and all labs print differently. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the outcome of any colors on our templates. Check with your lab for color profiles or other suggestions for calibrating your monitor.

We use fonts to suggest an appropriate style. Unfortunately we can not provide you with the fonts. If you do not have the same font as shown on the template, you will be able to choose something similar from your own font selections in Photoshop.

Limberdog Design Templates are copyright protected. Please don’t copy our templates for others!! Templates and design elements are not to be used for logos, websites, branding, etc. Limberdog is available for custom logo and design work. You are free to use the templates however you like in creating products for your clients. We’d love to see examples of your creativity. Send them to Kimberly

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I have to have Photoshop to use these templates?

YES. If you want to get Photoshop or would like to upgrade, click button below.

2. What version of Photoshop do I need?

CS or higher.

3. How much Photoshop knowledge do I need?

Just the basics! We have detailed tutorials if you would like to get specific instructions. We’ve tested the templates with self-proclaimed “Photoshop-ically-Challenged” folks, and they did just fine. Once you do it a couple of times, it’s really quick and easy.

4. What type of payment do you accept?

Right now we accept payment through Paypal.

5. Can I make copies of the Limberdog templates for my friends?

No! The designs are copyright protected. These templates are intended and priced for one user only. (show your friends your cool custom cards and have them visit our site!)

6. How customizable are the templates?

Most templates are fully customizable. All templates have customizable messages, and of course you can add your own images, and your studio information. You can use any font you currently own. In some templates the colors can easily be modified. Due to the intricacy of some designs, it will be more time-consuming to change the colors. We have tried to note specifics on each template.

7. Are the colors on the templates going to be printed the same as I see on my monitor?

8. I messed up my template, can I get another?

Due to the nature of the template, there is no free replacement of templates. We are sorry but you will have to order another one. Make sure you always do a ‘SAVE AS” command so you are not working on the original template!

9. I decided I don’t want the template I bought. Can I return it?

We are sorry but there are no returns.

10. Do you offer any special discounts?

If you buy 5 templates, you get one free!

11. How often do you introduce new designs?

Every couple of months so check back often!

12. Can I be notified of new design releases?

At this time there is no notification system but we hope to add that soon.

13. Do you offer custom design services?

Yes, we offer services ranging from customizing an existing template to creating new templates, to full-scale branding design. Email kimberly@wassenbergphotography.com for a quote.

14. When I open the Limberdog template, Photoshop tells me it can’t find the font! Help!

We don’t provide the fonts with our templates. The fonts shown are just a guide to the style of font best suited for the design. Please choose a font from your font menu with a similar style, or if you really want the one we used, contact us and we can tell you which one it was so you can purchase it.

15. I dragged my image into the template but it didn’t go into the image space! Help!

Make sure you are on the correct layer before pasting your image. The "image goes here" layer should be highlighted.

16. My Limberdog template is customized and saved as a jpeg. Where should I get it printed?

Check with the "Labs we Like" links for press-printed services.

17. How do I get my Limberdog design into my lab’s template?

Flatten the Limberdog template into a jpeg (after doing a “save as”, open your lab’s template, cut and paste the Limberdog template into the lab’s template (do a “save as” for the lab template). Adjust if necessary, so the safe lines are in the right place

18. I really want to sell a lot of these cards! How do I market them?

Use the marketing suggestions provided in the ideas page (coming soon). You can use your computer to do a slide show of designs, email examples to clients, use the free pdf galleries on your website or blog, or print some samples and make a sample book so clients can touch and see the end result. Check our blog, we will post more ideas there.

19. Can I make cards or other items from the templates and sell them on ebay or etsy?

No, these templates are for professional photographers only for the purpose of making products for clients.

20. Where did the name Limberdog come from?

There is no “Limber Dog” in the house. (just one fat cat!) Limberdog was a nickname for Kimberly, the founder of Limberdog, given to her by her hubby….it came from “Kimberly… Limberly”…evolved into “Limberdog…” He’s very creative.

SIMPLE FLOURISH WEDDING TEMPLATE SET: Less is More! The Save the Date template is a 5 x 5 flat card with space for one image on front and message on the back. The Thank You template is a 5 x 5 tri-fold with space for 2 images (one image is 5 x 10!) and also a blank panel for the couple to write their note. Thank you to Robyn Kessler for these gorgeous images! Template set $20.

PASADENA CHOCOLATE WEDDING TEMPLATE SET: An intricate Spanish-inspired filigree design sets off your fabulous images and can be customized to your clients’ wedding colors. The Thank You template (great image by Gene Higa) is a 5 x 5 folded card that opens from the right. The inside has a blank area for the couple to write their note. The lime “Thank You” is a graphic, not a font, but you can change the color. The Save the Date template (fab image by Robyn Kessler) is a flat 5 x 5, with included numbers for the date graphic and simple instructions for using them. I used this as a birth announcement and it was adorable. $20

Baroque Wedding Template Set: This template set includes 2 templates with an elegant scroll design. The first template is shown as a Save the Date design. It is a 5 x 5 flat card design with space for one image. The second template is a Thank You card, and is a 5 x 5 folded card design (opening from the right) with 4 images on front and one inside.
